Volvo S40D Takes What Car Green Award

Volvo S40D

Volvo S40D

The new Volvo S40 DRIVe has been named Green Car of the Year at the What Car? Green Awards, held in association with Michelin and Warranty Direct. Volvo has a strong commitment to its environmental activities. The S40 Drive has an amazing and exceptionally low CO2 emission of just 104g/km and returning up to 72.4 mpg on the combined cycle. These figures translated into normal language mean that it’s very eco-friendly and ultimately safer for the planet as it produces fewer harmful emissions.

Perhaps best of all about the S40 DRIVe is the ability to produce both power and be green - something which for many other manufacturers seems to be a massive engineering hurdle and remains very much a ‘one or the other’. Read more about the award at ‘What Car‘. If you’d like more info on the Volvo S40 DRIVe visit the Volvo website.
